Questions riders ask
Rates, parts, shipping, payment and warranty, answered.
What engines do you work on?
Single-cylinder dirt bike engines, 2-stroke or 4-stroke, from vintage to brand new. We don’t take ATV engines or twin- and four-cylinder engines.
Do I need to pull the engine myself?
The flat rates are for a bare engine on the bench. If it’s still in the bike, removal and reinstall is $50 flat.
Can I ship my engine to you?
Yes, from anywhere in Canada. Ship the bare engine insured with your carrier and we’ll ship it back when it’s done. Shipping both ways is at your expense, so message us first and we’ll tell you where to send it.
Why do I supply the parts?
You choose the brand and see exactly what you paid, with no markup. We’ll send a recommended parts list for your year, make and model before you order.
What if my cylinder or head needs machine work?
Replating, boring and valve seat cutting go to a specialized machine shop before final assembly, at your expense. The inspection will show whether your engine needs it.
What if you find more damage?
Work stops right away. You get photos and your options before anything moves forward, whether it’s cracked cases or worn transmission gears.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, a 30-day labour warranty. If an issue comes from our work within 30 days, we fix it with no labour charge. Parts aren’t covered, and neither are problems outside the work we did, but call us and we’ll work out a game plan.
How do I pay?
No deposit. You pay when the rebuild is done, by cash or e-transfer at pickup. For shipped engines, PayPal works too.
How long does a rebuild take?
Typically 3 to 5 days once all the parts are in hand.
Where are you located?
Vaughan. Drop-off and pickup are by appointment, and you’ll get the address when you book.
